Many of the teacher are still following the ancient methods for teaching to our students even the sources and knowledge has grown tremendously. It has been an active area of interest of various academicians to adopt new methodologies in teaching so that students can have fun in learning thereby increasing students’ appetite for knowledge gain.
For facilitating this infrastructure is to be created and many new technologies are used in teaching these days. How to make it more effective for the students in Oman is a concern we are trying to address. Who can narrate better than the students themselves?
Students have many innovative and bright ideas which needs platform to share and explore. We are inviting students from all over the sultanate of Oman to participate and share their ideas about Smart Schools where learning can be a fun and more fruitful.
The IT department initiated ITech club to conduct in-house competitions and community services that helps students become the best IT professionals with teamwork spirit and good entrepreneurship skills.
iTech club has been successfully conducting iTech Marathon since two years. The aim of this marathon is to help the students understand the market competitions and challenges. It is conducting variety of activities and competitions in areas like networking, web programming, project demonstrations, quiz in mathematics and photography contests, amongst students of various colleges, that help them gain technical skills and application-oriented knowledge.
